Are we sure that That girl is my daughter there?
She’s so odd and kinda weird.
She hangs the dolls out by their necks
in the willow tree that sits out back.
I asked her why she told me they are waiting to die.
Are we sure she’s mine?
Her mother died a few months ago-
Or has it been a year? I can’t really know.
I see her mom from time to time
through glances in this kid's eye.
Sometimes I get angry at the memory I see- even though it has nothing to do with
Me.
oh Me I forgot– what was I saying?
Did you see the new guitar I’m playing?
I guess it’s cool to have a kid
and tell everyone so they'll admire.
I am a father! —- what’s her name?
Look at her smile it’s exactly like mine!
I think it is I can’t recall at this minute
I don’t remember all I know is I’m Gifted
to have a kid I can say it is mine.
How old is she?
I’m not sure- what’s the time?
